I filed for bankruptcy this past year because I had no choice.  Medical bills are eight times my annual income, so it’s hard to see any other way.  I now have definitive bad credit, no spare cash, and three children who saw half our belongings sold in a garage sale last summer.  That included the Christmas decorations that wouldn’t fit in our new, smaller apartment, and many of their toys.
